NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:

The course will take place with a minimum number of 20 participants. The maximum number of participants is 40.

REGISTRATION:

Registration is deemed to be confirmed on payment of the registration fees. Please read the below points prior to registering :
o A. Tuition Fees :
For participants from India : The tuition fees for each course is Rs.100,000 + 18% GST, ie Rs.1,18,000/-, payable to MLC in Mumbai.
For participants from outside India : The tuition fees for each course is Euro 1250, payable to our partner concern in The Netherlands
o B. Details Shared :
Please ensure that your personal information matches with the information mentioned on your Passport
o C. Passport Validity :
Schengen Visa will be issued to all participants. Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least another 3 months after the date you intend to leave the Schengen area

Registration of eligible candidates will take place on a first-come, first- serve basis. The final decision on the course taking place (being dependent on having minimum number of 20 registrations) will be taken by 31st of July 2020.

REFUND CLAUSE :

• In case of a cancellation request initiated by the participant, a non-refundable amount of 50% of tuition fees will be retained by My Liveable City
• If My Liveable City decides to cancel the program, then the full amount of will be refunded

INSURANCE:

As part of the visa application process and travel, you will be required to take adequate insurance cover. Neither MLC / KU will be taking any insurance on your behalf.

Travel and Visa:

Participants are expected to arrange the travel on their own. KU - Leuven will be able to issue a letter of acceptance for the program on registration, so that this can be used for applying for a visa for Belgium. This visa (Schengen Visa ) will also give access to other countries in Europe. From the Brussels International Airport there is a regular train-service to Leuven. The travel time is less than 30 minutes.

BOARDING & LODGING:

Participants are expected to make their own arrangements in booking their accommodation. Around 18 rooms are available at the University hostel for a subsidised amount of €35 per day (linen included, but no food ). These rooms will be given to those already registered on a first come- first serve basis. While the boarding and lodging costs (outside the hostel) can vary greatly depending on the choice of each participant, an amount of € 100-125 per day may be taken as a rough indication.

The hostel has a common kitchen where the persons occupying the rooms can cook their food, eat or simply gather for some common activities. Rooms have to be booked for 6 days (5 days of program + 1 day related to arrival a day before the program). All booking related formalities will have to be done directly with KU. MLC will setup the initial introductions to enable both sides carryout independent conversation.

WEATHER:

Weather in September in Belgium can be pleasant but also a little cool ( max. 20degree C- min. 10 degree C ). However weather remains unpredictable and rains can be expected intermittently. Participants are therefore advised to bring warm clothes and rain gear with them, the weather remains unpredictable and changes very quickly.
